Unapologetic

A series of joyfully bold original mixed media paintings and commissioned pieces on stretched canvas that empower you to live your most authentic self freely.

Hi, it’s Anne Catherine, and I’m here to share with you Unapologetic: A series of joyfully bold original mixed media paintings and commissioned pieces that empower you to live your most authentic self freely.

Unapologetic — available now for the next four days only — is designed to guide you toward wholeness and help you reclaim the parts of yourself that have been hidden. In other words, it’s meant to help you feel fully seen, free, and empowered to live in your light.

For the longest time, I was made to feel like I was both too much and not enough — all at once. I always knew there are multiple facets to who I am: a great scientist, athlete, friend, wife and mom. Somehow, I was perceived as too sporty for the science crowd, too nerdy and caring to be competitive in the sports world, too ambitious, too intense — and somehow not enough in all of it at the same time. So I learned to dim parts of myself, to stay within the limits that made others more comfortable. I thought I had to hide how much I really was to fit in.

After a long struggle with infertility, I finally became a mother, and everything shifted. I didn’t want my daughters to feel those same constraints. I filled their world with possibilities: sporty things, girly things, artsy things, smart things. I wanted them to explore freely and know they never had to dim their light. In empowering them to be whole, I was quietly beginning to heal myself.

When I first picked up a paintbrush, I didn’t realize it would change the way I see myself. It started after a surgery, when my life slowed down and I had time to reflect. I bought an adult coloring book thinking it would be relaxing, but instead, I felt confined by the lines I was meant to color inside. That frustration mirrored how I often felt in my professional and personal life: constrained, boxed in by myriad expectations that never quite fit who I really was.

I decided to create my own art, my own lines, and it was liberating. Each brushstroke became a way to explore every facet of myself that had been hidden — my intelligence, my creativity, my playfulness, my strength. Painting became a daily act of self-care and emotional reflection. On the outside, my life didn’t change — same family, same job — but inside, I began to feel whole, free, and truly seen for the first time in years. I wish that I could transmit this growth and this feeling of empowerment to the young woman I was 20 years ago, when I was shaping my life.

The most profound part of this journey has been seeing how my art connects with others. My daughters now watch me create without apology, and it gives them permission to embrace their own full selves. And through commissioned pieces, I’ve realized that I can extend that gift to anyone: a way to feel seen, empowered, and unapologetically themselves.

I create art to celebrate wholeness, to remind people that they can be strong and soft, bold and tender, smart and kind — all at once. My hope is that when you experience Unapologetically You / Unapologetic, you feel empowered to reclaim every hidden part of yourself and live fully in your light.

Q: What does the process of commissioning an artwork look like?

A commissioned Unapologetic piece is a bold, layered canvas created around your personal story of wholeness and authenticity.  We begin with a conversation about what being unapologetic means to you—strength, softness, freedom, or something entirely your own.

Your chosen colors, symbols, and feelings guide the palette, textures, and forms woven into the work. Each piece carries the energy of raw empowerment, unapologetic color, and layered depth.

The final canvas arrives ready to hang, accompanied by a personal artist statement that explains the choices. It becomes both artwork and mirror—inviting you to see yourself in your freest, most authentic light.

Q: I love your work! How can I get an Unapologetic artwork now?
You can schedule a discovery call to explore the best option for your space, needs, and personal journey.

Q: What if I want to explore this series and talk to you to learn more, but am not ready to invest yet?
That’s what the discovery call is for — to explore this series together. Whether now or later is the right time to invest in one of my works, booking a call is the best way to start your journey.

Q: What about shipping?
Each commissioned piece can be shipped stretched and ready to hang on a frame, or rolled and safely packaged if you prefer to frame it yourself. Shipping is included, and every artwork is carefully protected to ensure it arrives safely. We’ll discuss your preference together to make sure it comes in the way that works best for you.

Q: What if I receive it and it’s not exactly what I was hoping for?
If the artwork is not what you expected, please know that payments are non-refundable. However, you are welcome to return the piece (shipping at your cost), and the full amount can be applied as a deposit toward a new custom piece that will be tailored more closely to your space and vision.

This offer is available for only 4 days.
